John Austin, DJ and station manager at Bob 95 FM, apologized Wednesday for a comment he made on-air Monday morning about singer Adam Lambert’s controversial Sunday performance on the American Music Awards.
The former "American Idol" contestant Lambert kissed a male keyboard player, dragged a female dancer around by the ankles and had a dancer simulate oral sex on him while performing "For Your Entertainment," a song with a sexual edge. ABC received many complaints about the performance and that network's morning show, "Good Morning America," canceled Lambert's scheduled appearance today because it said it couldn't trust what he would do.
The fact that Kris Allen just beaten rollicking vocal powerhouse Adam Lambert for the "American Idol" title wasn't going to sink in quickly for the unassuming underdog from Arkansas. The only downside to this stunning victory: He'd have to sing "No Boundaries" one more time.
"Adam deserves this. I'm sorry, I don't even know what to feel right now. This is crazy," said the 23-year-old from Conway, Ark.
Danny Gokey is dancing off "American Idol," leaving showy Adam Lambert and twangy Kris Allen to duke it out in the finale of the popular Fox singing competition next week.
Gokey, the bespectacled 29-year-old church music director and recent widower, was revealed to have received the fewest viewer votes on Wednesday.
The pressure is on for Danny Gokey, Kris Allen and Adam Lambert.
There’s just one a few days until the “American Idol” finale, and on Tuesday night the all-male trio competed for two spots in next week’s much-hyped sing-off.
