Open at World’s Smallest Gallery: The 14th annual Mixed Media Exhibit has opened at the World’s Smallest Gallery in the Urban Stampede, downtown Grand Forks, and will run through Jan. 10. Exhibit at Amazing Grains: Adam Kemp is the artist for July at Amazing Grains in downtown Grand Forks. His show will run July 7 to Aug. 4. About the artist: Born in 1962, Kemp arrived in Grand Forks in 1997. “I am very proud to display my work in a place that adds so much to the quality of life in Grand Forks,” Kemp said, and added: “I am willing to barter!”
New exhibit opens Monday The North Dakota Museum of Art will open a new exhibit called “Paint Local” on Labor Day Monday featuring work by local painters Pirjo Berg, Lori Esposito, Zhimin Guan, Adam Kemp, Mike Marth and Dyan Rey.
Saudi students at UND raise funds for boy with cancer By noon Thursday, the word “hope” had been printed boldly and brightly in chalk along the service line of tennis court No. 2 in University Park. Local artist Adam Kemp also had drawn about a 30 foot by 30 foot globe around the word. By mid-afternoon, UND students Turki Alhusaini, Asim Daffa and Shayia Maqbool were opening boxes and unwrapping rolls of coins — $1,500 they had raised over a couple of months.
