A Montana man is being held without bond in an attack at a gas station near Minot. Peter Maki, Kalispell, Mont., appeared confused during a teleconference Friday in Northwest District Court. He’s charged with attempted murder. A judge denied bond for Maki and ordered a mental evaluation.
An elderly man being transported from Jamestown to Fargo when the ambulance he was in rolled on icy Interstate 94 has died, though authorities have not said whether the crash was a factor. Albert Geiszler, 92, Jamestown, was being transported Monday to MeritCare Hospital when the ambulance rolled. The Highway Patrol said he died Thursday.
