Jeff Campbell got out of two late-inning jams and went 2-for-3 at the plate with a pair of runs to lead No. 5-seed UND past fourth-seeded Utah Valley 8-7 in the opening round of the Great West Conference tournament Tuesday morning at Riverfornt Stadium.
After playing its first 31 games on the road, UND played its final 13 regular-season games at Kraft Field. North Dakota won 10 of those home games, including Sunday’s regular-season finale in dramatic fashion.
A year before faculty at UND’s College of Nursing and Professional Disciplines raised concerns about the “climate of fear” created by Dean Denise Korniewicz, some school employees told university investigators that they feared the dean’s administrative officer, a close friend of the dean who lived with her at the time, according to documents obtained by the Herald.
The university, the North Dakota University System chancellor and the State Board of Higher Education saw the need to ensure continued excellence in legal education for decades to come at North Dakota’s law school.
Samuel Rocha, an assistant professor in the UND department of educational foundations and research, has published “A Primer for Philosophy & Education,” an accessible introduction for anyone interested in those subjects.
UND is partnering with the North Dakota Game and Fish Department to manage 160 acres of university-owned land along the Forest River as a wildlife management area and will offer a limited archery hunt on the site this fall.
