New movie says ND is 'worst place on Earth'

North Dakota is referred to as the "worst place place on earth" in the new movie, "The Five-Year Engagement" with Jason Segel and Kevin Hart. That movie will be in theaters on Friday, but it's unclear if it'll be popular here in town. A YouTub clip of the movie was released online and it's spiked quite the discussion around campus.

N.D. may be featured in ‘FrackNation’ film

The filmmaker of the upcoming documentary “FrackNation” wrapped up her visit to North Dakota on Friday and said she may feature the state in her film. “It’s very likely that I will,” said Los Angeles filmmaker Ann McElhinney. “I think this is an incredible story that the world needs to hear.” The journalist and filmmaker is working on a response to the anti-fracking movie “Gasland,” which McElhinney describes as full of anecdotes and short on facts.
