Lives of women inspire N.D. Ballet Company's new production 
The North Dakota Ballet Company’s production “A Women’s Work” Saturday night in the Empire Arts Center will see dancers and choreographers coming together for a performance inspired by the lives of women. The company’s spring concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the downtown Empire Arts Center. Tickets will be $12 for students and $15 for adults. The box office will open at 6:30 p.m.

Workshop to help N.D. women run for office 
Ready to Run, a workshop for women sponsored by North Dakota Women’s Network, will run 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 21 at UND’s Center for Innovation. The workshop will help prepare women to seek office or serve as campaign staff. According to North Dakota Women’s Network, women hold only 15 percent of North Dakota’s legislative seats, one statewide office and fewer than one percent of county commission seats.
