The Highway Patrol has identified the Crystal, N.D., man who drove his pickup into a house near Edinburg, N.D., in Walsh County on Sunday. According to the patrol, Casey J. O’Toole, 28, drove through ditches off County Road 9 and a church parking lot around 8:16 p.m. before running into a house at 12869 County Road 9.

A Grafton, N.D., man charged with attempted murder will be allowed to seek medical treatment at a Veterans Affairs Hospital in St. Cloud, Minn., but his lawyer’s effort to get his bond reduced was unsuccessful. Rodney J. Ebertowski, 57, allegedly charged at Walsh County deputies and Grafton police with a 9¾-inch knife after a drunken car accident in February.

Energae LP, an energy investment group based in Clear Lake, Iowa, has signed a purchase agreement to buy the mothballed Grafton facility from Northeast Energy LLC, according to Jerry Krause, a general partner in Energae. The company expects to launch a search for North Dakota investors within the next couple of weeks, he said.
