A Thanksgiving tradition for the needy will continue this year at a West St. Paul restaurant, even as its owners cope with the aftermath of a fire that burned down their other restaurant in Eagan. For nearly 20 years, Jim and Rick Casper have served free Thanksgiving dinners at their Casper's Cherokee Tavern. This year, however, they reconsidered after the fire ravaged their Eagan restaurant last month, causing $750,000 in damages.
