According to Police Chief Stan Baker, a Northwood man, driving east on Washington Avenue - the main east-west street downtown - collided with a northbound, slow-moving freight train about 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

GF County rancher soon back in court for cattle-at-large charges
Lloyd Thorsgard, 76, is set to make an initial court appearance Monday at the Grand Forks County Courthouse. The three misdemeanor charges against him stem from incidents on Oct. 10, 17 and 18, according to a criminal complaint.
