The Three Affiliated Tribes in North Dakota is seeking federal help to build homes for the staff of a newly opened health center in New Town. Crews this week are finishing up infrastructure work such as water and sewer service for the housing site, but the tribe needs money to build the homes.

Long-time editor Neil O. Nelson is back in the saddle at the Hillsboro (N.D.) Banner after a change of ownership. He was editor at the Banner for a dozen years until being let go in April. Kelly Ink in Lisbon, which owns several other papers in the state sold it Friday to a partnership called Sub-Zero Press of Hillsboro, which brought Nelson back.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the 23-year-old man lost control of his pickup on ice-covered state Highway 23 at about 2 a.m. today. The truck rolled and the man was ejected from the vehicle.
