Irene Diederich told her family on Monday she was ready to be with her husband. On Tuesday, the 84-year-old Fargo woman joined her partner of 63 years, Warren Diederich, who died four months earlier. “She’s a person who did what she said she was going to do,” said son Paul Diederich, now president of Industrial Builders of Fargo, founded by his parents.
Joanie Silewski’s sister, Michelle Schumacher, said Silewski went to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., last week, and doctors have said the transplant will be done some time this weekend. She’ll be treated a minimum of 100 days after the transplant.
