Big Sky 'concerned' but continues to monitor UND nickname drama 
UND’s status within the Big Sky Conference won’t change immediately as a result of this week’s tentative restoration of the university’s Fighting Sioux nickname, Big Sky Commissioner Doug Fullerton said Wednesday.

Big Sky conference football, basketball games to be televised by Root Sports 
League Commissioner Doug Fullerton said Tuesday that ROOT SPORTS will televise up to 18 conference football games each season, beginning next season, including the annual Montana-Montana State rivalry game. It also may broadcast up to 12 regular-season conference basketball games along with the quarterfinal and semifinal men's basketball tournament games.

A former sports editor in St. Paul and Sacramento who publishes a sports blog devoted to Big Sky Conference athletics has urged the conference to admit that inviting UND to join was a “mistake.” The league, he says, needs to “separate itself from this UND mess.
