Jessie Vetter stopped 37 shots for an NCAA record 13th shutout of the season — and her second in a national championship game — and Wisconsin won its third women’s hockey title in four years on Sunday with a 5-0 victory over Mercyhurst.
Monique Lamoureux of Grand Forks and Gigi Marvin of Warroad are two of the 10 finalists for the 2009 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award. The award annually recognizes the top player in NCAA Division I women’s hockey.
