Absences decrease in GF schools 
Flu-related absences are down considerably in Grand Forks schools, Assistant Superintendent Jody Thompson said Wednesday. “I would say absences are tracking fairly normal to this time of the year,” he said.
On Monday and Tuesday, there were 100 to 150 students absent for illnesses, appointments and other reasons — about 1.5 percent or 2 percent of the district’s nearly 7,000 students.
