COLLEGE BASEBALL: Northern Colorado downs UND

UND MEN'S BASEBALL: Bison slip past Sioux
It’s a sign of a real pitcher’s duel when the only run in a nine-inning game comes when a player who reached on an infield single eventually scores from second base on another infield single. North Dakota State junior John Straka and UND freshman Andrew Thome matched each other pitch for pitch Friday afternoon, but the Bison took advantage of an unearned run to beat the Sioux 1-0 at Kraft Field in the opener of a four-game series.
