During the final scramble, Moorhead junior forward Aaron Herdt took a pass from teammate Thomas Carey in the right circle with Duluth East goalie Dylan Parker out of position. Herdt coiled up for the shot, but the final horn sounded and he never got to swing.

Area wrestlers have made it to semifinals of MN state tournaments 
Three area wrestlers have reached the semifinal round of their respective Minnesota state wrestling tournaments.
In Class A, Colton Laymon of West Marshall won both of his matches Friday to reach the semis. He beat Hunter Fick of West Central 3-1 in his opening match before taking down Manuel Garcia of BOLD 9-2 in the quarterfinals.
One other area wrestler reached the Class A semifinals.

The Grafton/Park River junior bounced a goal off the back of an opponent Friday night. That gave the Spoilers a 5-3 lead, a two-goal margin they maintained the rest of the way in defeating Bismarck Century 6-4 in the semifinals of the North Dakota boys high school hockey tournament.

Blake Bosch completed the final chapter in what he called a “fairy tale” weekend Saturday afternoon at the Fargodome with style. One of the most decorated wrestlers in Class B history, the South Border senior capped his career with a first-period pin to win the 126-pound championship at the North Dakota state tournament before an estimated 3,900 fans.
