Thief River Falls wrestling coach Kenny Geiser wasn’t concerned when senior Jacoby Bergeron showed up this season two weight classes heavier than his junior year.
As the Prowlers’ second-fastest cross country runner this fall, it was safe to assume Bergeron was putting on the right type of weight.

It seemed appropriate. Wednesday was Veterans Day, and the bald eagle is the symbol of American power. The eagle’s presence was coincidental, however. It happens that mid-November is eagle season in the Red River Valley.
A Thief River Falls man has been sentenced to more than 9 months in jail and 10 years supervised probation after being convicted for a series of burglary and deer-shooting incidents last December in Pennington County.
