Valley City group turns in petition to force recall election for mayor, commissioner 
A group disgruntled with Valley City government has turned in petitions with enough signatures to likely force a recall election for Mayor Bob Werkhoven and City Commissioner Ken Evenson. The petitions were turned in about 3 p.m. Monday, City Auditor Avis Richter said today. Richter now has 30 days to certify the signatures.
