NORTH DAKOTA OUTDOORS: As fall approaches, animal populations thrive
In June, many duck and pheasant hunters will mentally circle the backside of October as a key window for waterfowl and upland hunting. In a similar manner, deer hunters also key out the dates, times and places for hunts, stake a claim to vacation time if needed, and anticipate the coming fall season.

NORTH DAKOTA OUTDOORS: Youth hunting options abound
In case you missed it, the Canada goose early hunting season opened Aug. 15, kind of a first shot to open fall hunting seasons.
No, I’m not advocating winterizing the boat and mothballing the fishing gear just yet. I just want to keep you in the loop about upcoming seasons and other hunting notes of interest.
