Kennedy, Minn., woman agrees to plea agreement on theft charges 
A Kennedy, Minn., woman who stole more than $57,000 from two friends and their business agreed to a plea agreement Tuesday in Pembina County District Court.

Cory Smoot, 34, had cocaine and other drugs in his system, sheriff saysInvestigators say band members had slept from Minneapolis and tour manager found Smoot dead in his bunk in Pembina, N.D. A crime scene investigation found found painkillers, a prescription, a baggie with what appears to be crushed pills in it, syringes and a $5 bill with white powder residue on it. No charges were filed.
