City of Grand Forks names new finance director 
Grand Forks Mayor Mike Brown on Wednesday named city Budget Officer Maureen Storstad as the city’s new finance director. Storstad was preceded by Saroj Jerath, who retired in January. Storstad was among three candidates the city’s Civil Service Commission recommended to Brown last week. The city received 16 applications from across the country for the job.

Grand Forks-based Alerus Financial is buying the retirement plan practice of Fargo-based Eide Bailly, the company said Monday in a press release.
