They want $20 to check your bag. They let you park sometimes it seems 20 miles from your gate when you get into Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport. They stack you into airplanes with little leg room and people tilting seats back in your lap. There are delays. If you can’t make your flight because of illness, you probably won’t get a refund. At least that’s what happened to a friend who couldn’t make her scheduled trip to Arizona last winter.

There’ll be no more prop planes for Delta Airlines passengers out of Grand Forks, airport officials said Tuesday. Delta Airlines sent an e-mail to Patrick Dame, Grand Forks Airport Authority executive director, saying it is replacing the Saab 340 prop plane with a regional jet smaller than a DC-9.
Northwest Airlines and Delta formally merged at the end of October, and since then has rebranded all its domestic stations, including all those in rural Minnesota, she said. The airline hopes to secure its single operating certificate by year’s end, then casting all operations under Delta and headquartered in Atlanta, Ga.
