Cavalier, N.D., tries for world’s biggest ice cream sundae
Folks in Cavalier, N.D., attempting to break a world record this Saturday may end up with a brain freeze of epic proportions. That’s because the town will be constructing and eating a 600-foot-long ice cream sundae beginning at 10 a.m.

They have an aluminum rain gutter more than 600 feet long, and they plan to run it down the middle of Main Street in Cavalier Saturday. They will fill it with ice cream and serve up sundaes probably around noon for all who show up. They are seeking to break a record for this sort of event and have contacted the Guinness Book of World Records. They tell me the current record is 321 feet.
