51 cats rescued from Thief River Falls home 
The humane society in Thief River Falls said it was called to deal with a small house filled with 51 cats that took a week to catch.

There are times when I close my eyes and try to list the Seven Wonders of Grand Forks. That is when I get stumped on the Seven Wonders of the World. I think of Themis, the Goddess of Justice atop the Grand Forks County Court House. Then there’s Ralph Engelstad Arena, of course. And the old opera house on South Third Street. The State Mill and Elevator. The statue to the Grand Army of the Republic down by St. Mary’s Church. And the Chester Fritz auditorium at UND.

At last count, there were 812 dogs and 162 cats licensed in Grand Forks this year. If they should go astray and get picked up, the police would know where to return them.
