North Dakota farmers and ranchers have about a month to remove hay bales from roadside ditches. The state Transportation Department says the deadline to remove bales from highway rights of way is Nov. 1.
South Columbia Road reopened Friday afternoon after four months of construction. This includes all lanes of traffic from 11th Avenue South to the Columbia Road overpass, on- and off-ramps, and pedestrian trails.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation says the detour between Little Marais and Illgen City will add about 10 minutes to travel time. The highway is scheduled to reopen Friday afternoon, just ahead of the Labor Day holiday weekend.
