Developers have announced a $400 million plan to transform an eastern stretch of downtown Minneapolis near the new Vikings stadium. Ryan Cos. said Tuesday the five-block area, now owned by the Star Tribune, would become home to two, 20-story office towers.
The Minnesota Vikings are showing off specific features of their new stadium.
Fans, members of the organization and public officials were scheduled to present the final design Monday night at the Guthrie Theater, a few blocks away from where the $975 million facility will be built.
After being invited to try out for the Minnesota Vikings last week during the team’s rookie mini-camp, Detroit Lakes native Adam Thielen wound up with a new job. Thielen took a physical for the Vikings on Monday and signed a contract with the team.
The Vikings released punter Chris Kluwe on Monday, bringing an end to his colorful and outspoken eight-year stay in Minnesota. Kluwe announced the news on Twitter shortly after meeting with Vikings GM Rick Spielman.
