The last prosecution witness, Wilma Anderson, testified Friday that, pregnant with Jedidiah Troxel’s child, she broke up with him last August a day after investigators said DNA linked him to Tanya Kazmierczak whose body had just been found by a rural bridge southeast of Thief River Falls. She said she already had learned he had lied to her about spending hours drinking at a party while she was at her mother’s.
Day two of Jedidiah Troxel’s murder trial began with the defense grilling the investigator who oversaw the crime scene where Tanya Kazmierczak’s body was found, and ended with graphic details and photos from the autopsy performed by Dr. Michael McGee, head of the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Jury selection will begin Tuesday in Thief River Falls in the murder trial of Jedidiah Troxel, 33, Crookston. He is accused of first degree murder and criminal sexual assault in the 2012 stabbing death of Tanya Kazmierczak, 40, Thief River Falls.
