The real key to Delta’s decision probably wasn’t the recent meeting in Atlanta between Grand Forks officials and high-level executives at Delta.
The real key was the work done a year and two years ago to attract Allegiant Air. That’s because Allegiant Air’s coming proved the Grand Forks airport’s potential, as some in Grand Forks had anticipated at the time.
