Pro-nickname group raises questions over use of state funds for retire the UND nickname movement 
On the eve of the statewide referendum on UND’s Fighting Sioux nickname, nickname supporters again raised questions concerning the UND Alumni Association’s use of an airplane on May 1 to campaign for retirement of the nickname.
The issue is still under review by police in Grand Forks, but a related complaint and investigation in Bismarck resulted in no charges.
