With the number of hospitalizations and outbreaks down for the third week in a row, the illness has peaked, said Kris Ehresmann, director of Infectious Disease Epidemiology at the Minnesota Department of Health.
Health officials say the worst of the flu season is likely over in Minnesota.
Kris Ehresmann, the state Health Department's infectious disease director, said Thursday the illness has peaked in Minnesota.
Hospitals in the northern Red River Valley have reacted differently to this year’s unusually virulent flu season. At Altru Health System in Grand Forks, there are no restrictions on who can visit patients, but the hospital asks that visitors use their best judgment, according to officials there.
