The Fargodome is being mentioned as a potential site for the 2015 Prep Bowl, Minnesota’s annual two days of high school football championships. Also, the Alerus Center in Grand Forks was mentioned at the board meeting as a potential site for the event. But no action was taken regarding either facility.

A year ago this weekend the Fargodome was back in the Stone Age, hosting the touring animatronic show “Walking with Dinosaurs.” Dinosaurs were the biggest draw of the year for the Fargodome, pulling in 21,883 people over six performances and netting the Dome $135,764. It also got dome officials singing a slightly different tune.
The Fargodome attracted record-breaking attendance for its 2010 events. More than 528,000 attendees packed the event center last year, up from about 486,000 in 2009, according to dome financial documents released this week.
