On-campus enrollment at the North Dakota School for the Deaf is less than two dozen, spanning elementary to middle school grades. That’s comparable to some of the smallest public schools in the state. But the services it provides reach thousands of North Dakotans through an outreach program that has been expanding rapidly over the past four years.
Lawmakers on two Senate committees recommended passing the proposed Medicaid expansion program that would provide insurance coverage to an estimated 20,000 North Dakotans who are currently living without.
