UND’s winter commencement ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. today for graduate students at Chester Fritz Auditorium. The undergraduate ceremony, which will include more than 600 students, will be at 2 p.m. at the same location.
Three-time World Champion skipper Adrienn Banhegyi, 29, will perform this tonight in Cirque du Soleil’s production of Quidam at Ralph Engelstad Arena. The Herald asked her to offer insight on her role as “the skipping girl.”

The annual fall dinner and bazaar at St. Mary’s Catholic parish, Park River, N.D., 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday includes pork chops with stuffing, potatoes, gravy and dessert. There will be games, raffles, a cake walk and Grandma’s Pantry. It’s $10 for adults, $6 ages 6 to 12 and free for younger ones.
The Minnesota State University Moorhead women’s studies program invites scholars and community activists to submit proposals for panels, papers, workshops and creative presentations for the Red River Women’s Studies Conference Oct. 26.
