The Silver Dollar Pawn Shop in Grand Forks will close Wednesday after nearly 30 years, according to its co-owner. Jim Bassett said he and his wife, Fran, decided to close the store because they could not find someone to buy it.
A vintage candy shop specializing in treats from bygone years is set to open Monday in Grand Forks. Jamey Summers, who is opening her store, Ju Ju Sweets, said her nostalgic candies will include Nik-L-Nip wax bottles, Necco Wafers, flying saucers and other hard-to-find sweets.
