Interim NDSU president has fond memories of playing days When Dick Hanson, 59, thinks of North Dakota State University football, he can’t help but think of success. He played in three bowl games in his three years in 1968, 1969 and 1970. There were back-to-back national championships in ’68 and ’69. And they played outdoors. OUR VOICES Gusto returns with triumph

Former East Grand Forks coach Steve Gust ruined North Dakota State's baseball home opener Wednesday at Newman Outdoor Field. Gust, who now coaches Dakota Wesleyan, led his crew to an 18-14 win over the Bison. It wasn't pretty by any means, with Wesleyan spotting NDSU nine runs in the first inning.
