The Highway Patrol says 40-year-old John Kevin Ozbolt, from Tallahassee, Fla., was trying to pass a semitrailer when he collided head-on with a pickup truck driven by 49-year-old James Bruce Palmer, from Post Falls, Idaho.
Police have released the name of a Missouri man who apparently fell to his death while jogging along a Mississippi River bluff in southeastern Minnesota. The Red Wing Police Department identifies the victim as 54-year-old David Lucuson of Fenton, Mo.
Authorities have identified a Walhalla, N.D., woman who was killed in a one-vehicle rollover accident Wednesday near Walhalla. Brenna Dearinger, 26, was driving a 1999 Chevrolet pickup on Pembina County Road 1 at about 8:45 a.m. Wednesday when the accident occurred about four miles southeast of Walhalla.
Witnesses said the man had asked for directions off the bluff. When they headed down the bluff 20 minutes later, they found him unresponsive and lying on the path at the bottom of the 200-foot rock wall.
At least one person is dead after a train and pickup collided about 1:45 p.m. today just west of here. Detective Joel Stading of the Cass County Sheriff's Office said the driver of the truck was pronounced dead at the scene.
