Snowfall in the Grand Forks area Friday created icy road conditions responsible for at least 10 car accidents, according to police. Two accidents in particular backed up traffic on the Columbia Road overpass around 5 p.m. Some stopped vehicles could not regain traction and were unable to make it up the overpass, said Sgt. Jason Dvorak.
