The Cook County Sheriff’s Office reported that three victims were hit by gunfire Thursday in the Grand Marais courthouse. One victim was transported to Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center, one was hospitalized in Cook County North Shore Hospital in Grand Marais, and one victim was treated and released.

The dog was wounded while defending his owners' St. Paul home during a burglary Oct. 20. He suffered at least nine stab wounds as well as injuries to his mouth while fighting at least one intruder in the 1800 block of East Maryland Avenue. Only Buster and two other dogs were home at the time of the morning break-in.
