Edith G. Iverson
JANESVILLE, WI --- Edith G. Iverson, age 86, of Janesville, WI, formerly of Grafton, ND, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Mercy Hospital. She was born in Jamestown, ND, on March 23, 1927, the daughter of Alex and Marie (Burdick) Vanderberg. Edith married Melvin A. Iverson on June 19, 1947, in Jamestown. He preceded her in death on Oct. 9, 2000. She was employed by the North Dakota State School, which later became the Grafton Developmental Center. She enjoyed watching birds, traveling and reading. Family was important to Edith and she absolutely loved surrounding herself with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her 7 children: Melody (Dale) Torbenson of Spokane, WA, Cynthia Kjeldergaard of Grafton, ND, Barbara Sandvig of Oslo, MN, Kelvin Iverson of Grafton, ND, Donald (Donna) Iverson of Kenosha, WI, Kenneth (Violet) Iverson and John (Sue) Iverson both of Janesville, WI; 16 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren with an additional due in October; 2 siblings, Bea (Jim) Reynolds of LaCanada, CA and Allan (Lorraine) Vanderberg of Jamestown, ND; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 infant twin sons, Peter and Melvin; and 3 siblings: Betty Johnston, Joyce Vanderberg, and Robert Vanderberg.
