He pitched seven innings of shutout ball, leading West Fargo past Bismarck 2-0 in the loser-out round of the North Dakota Class A American Legion baseball tournament at Kraft Field.

As the string of scoreless innings mounted, so did the Bismarck anxiety level. The Governors brought the No. 3 seed into the North Dakota Class A American Legion baseball tournament. But they were shut out and held to three hits Wednesday by Fargo. Then Bismarck was not only held scoreless, but without a hit, for four innings against Jamestown on Thursday.
