George “Buddy” Orton, 69, of Grand Forks, ND died Saturday, June 15, 2013 in Valley Eldercare Center, Grand Forks.
George Edward Orton was born on September 4, 1943 in Hastings, NB the son of George F. and Clara A. (Olson) Orton. He grew up and attended school at Reynolds Special graduating in 1961. He married Sandra Kay DeVold on June 10, 1969. George worked as a truck driver for Valley Contracting (Aggregate Industries) for 38 years before retiring. George loved spending time with his grandchildren, playing guitar, reading Louis Lamoure books, bird watching and completing word search books. He was always smiling and loved seeing his friends everywhere he went. George was an avid, self taught guitar player and played in a band for many years. He will be missed.
