Alfred "Neil" Monsebroten, age 77 of Grafton, ND, passed away Thurs May 9, 2013, at Sanford Hospital Palliative Care, Fargo, ND.

Neil was born August 31, 1935 in Grafton to Alfred and Tena (Gjevre) Monsebroten. He attended school in Grafton until 1952 when at the age of 15, he took over the family farm upon the death of his father. In 1956 he married Margaret Young of St. Thomas, ND, and they raised their four children on the same farm where he was born and raised.

Henry E. Czapiewski, age 59 of Minto passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013.

Henry E. Czapiewski was born June 27, 1953 in Grafton, ND the son of the late Henry A. and Emily A. (Rogalla) Czapiewski. He grew up and attended school in Minto, graduating from Minto High School. Following his education he enlisted in the United States Army, serving from 1972-1975 in Germany. Following his discharge he returned to Minto and started working at the Minto water plant, retiring in 2009.

Sidney G. Duell, Jr, 67, of Emerado, ND died Thursday, May 9, 2013 of Cancer at the Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

Sidney Duell Jr. was born June 30, 1945 in Evergreen Park. IL the son of Sidney and Alice (Evoy) Duell Sr. He grew up and attended school in Roberts Park, IL. He married Elizabeth Verbic on April 15, 1967 in Summit, IL. He drove truck for numerous trucking firms for many years. He served his country in the US Navy from 1962-1964. He married Alison Carivau on March 31, 1999 in Grafton, ND. He owned and operated the S and A Logistics Trucking Company in East Grand Forks for many years.

Boniface Ann Christopherson
Boniface (Bonnie) Ann Christopherson died May 6 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Bonnie was born May 31, 1920 in rural Pennington County, Northern Minnesota to Hattie (Geyer) (Stucy) and Martin Jeppson. She spent most of her youth living on the family farm before her parents moved to Bismarck, ND. She graduated from St. Mary’s high school in Bismarck in 1938.

In 1940, she was married to Clarence Hesse who preceded her in death in 1955. She had 3 children with him. In 1963, she was remarried to Melvin (Mel) Christopherson of Thief River Falls. Mel was engaged in farming near Thief River Falls and also employed by Minnkota Power in Grand Forks for 40 years.

Duane Elmer Sondeland
Duane Sondeland, 79 of Fargo, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 6, 2013 surrounded by his loving family, at Eventide Care Center in Moorhead, after fighting a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Duane was born March 21, 1934 in Grafton, ND to Elmer and Josephine (Misialek) Sondeland. He attended school in Grafton, graduating from high school in 1952. Duane was a member of the ND National Guard from 1954-1960. He married Bonnie Duff of Hoople, ND on July 14, 1956.

Timothy R. Osowski
Timothy R. Osowski, age 53 of Grafton, ND passed away on Friday, May 3, 2013 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton, ND under the care of Hospice.

Timothy R. Osowski was born January 11, 1960 in Grafton, ND the son of Hilary and Jeanette (Dolan) Osowski. He attended school in Grafton, graduating from Grafton High School in 1978. Tim did his journeyman electrical studies under John Rasmussen and passed his Masters Electrician test. He started TKO Electrical in Grafton, ND and operated the business until Huntington’s Disease forced him to retire. Tim was united in marriage to Kerri Kennedy on May 28, 1982 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Grafton. The couple made their home in Grafton. As his illness progressed, Tim lived in Hallock, MN and most recently in McIntosh, MN. Tim’s passion after his diagnosis was to find a cure for this disease. With that in mind, he donated his brain for Huntington’s research in hope for a cure.
