Gene L. Olson
Gene L. Olson, age 58 of Hoople, ND passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at First Care Health Center of Park River, ND.

Gene LaVoy Olson was born January 15, 1955 in Drayton, ND the son of LaVoy and Joyce (Fedje) Olson. He attended school in Hoople and graduated from Valley High School in 1973. Gene attended the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks for two years. Following his education he returned to Hoople and worked with his father at the Olson Fertilizer Plant. Gene was united in marriage to Cynthia Folson on July 12, 1975 in Grand Forks. The couple made their home in Hoople. Gene later purchased Olson Oil from his father and was in the bulk oil business. He also farmed with his father and brothers raising chipping potatoes for Old Dutch.

Ann Marie Schultz Lagness, 93 formerly of Grand Forks, N. D. passed away on January 19, 2013 in Phoenix, AZ where she resided with her daughter Janet and grandson Remy Marceau.

Ann was born in Grand Forks County on May 16, 1919. Ann was a Hair stylist, owner and operator of Ann’s Beauty and Wig Salon for several years in Grand Forks. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and most of all spending time with friends and family.
