THE EATBEAT: Grandma B’s serves old-fashioned food on way to lake
Unless you know about Grandma B’s, you are likely to zip right past it on the way to or from the lake country near Bemidji. THE EATBEAT: Ribs, chicken draw big at Farmer Dell in Argyle, Minn.
We were delighted when they set a relish tray before us at the Farmer Dell Steakhouse & Lounge on a recent Saturday night. You just don’t find that much anymore. And if you do, the relish tray is skimpier than it used to be.

It’s a short drive of maybe 30 miles to Warren, Minn., when you go north on state Highway 220 from East Grand Forks and then east on state Highway 1. And it’s well worth it because there in the middle of town, you find Melody’s Cafe
