Glenn Skjoiten, 82, of Hatton, ND passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks after suffering a stroke. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 1, 2013 at 10:30am at St. John Lutheran Church in Hatton. A visitation will be held Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00pm with a 7:00pm prayer service at St. John Lutheran Church in Hatton.
Glenn was born to Gustav and Myrtle Skjoiten on August 12, 1930 at the family farm near Hatton, ND. He attended elementary school at Washington #70 and graduated from Hatton High School in 1947. Glenn then attended NDSU and Wahpeton State School of Science. On June 27, 1954, he married Dorothy Bjerke. They farmed and raised their family in Garfield Township. In 1982, he became an owner of Hatton Ford, Inc. Glenn enjoyed his daily stops around Hatton for coffee and conversation. He also enjoyed playing golf, pool-billiards, cards, and bingo. He served on the Hatton Farmers Elevator Board, Grand Forks/Trail Water Users Board, North Dakota Dry Bean Council, the Hatton School Board, and the St. John Church Council.

Earl Alton Radi, 91, of Crookston, MN, died Saturday at the Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. He was born in Lowell Township of Polk County, near Crookston, on November 7, 1921, the son of Emil and Selma (Reitmeier) Radi. On November 24, 1946 he married Eleanor Isabelle Olson at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Crookston. Earl was employed as a milkman for 32 years, working for Supreme Dairy, the Farmers Co-op Creamery, Valley Dairy, Sanitary Dairy, and the Bridgeman-Land O'Lakes Dairy. He served as a Polk County Commissioner from 1980-88.
Earl is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Eleanor; 2 daughters, Sheila (Randy) Hanson of Crookston, MN and Brenda (Kim) Nelson of Sioux City, IA; 2 grandsons, Christopher Hanson of New Hope, MN and Michael Hanson (Nerissa Sperling) of Crookston; and a great-grandson, Conner Hanson of Crookston. He also leaves a brother, Lloyd (Rita) Radi of Crookston; a sister-in-law, Marilyn (Charles) Arneson of Watertown, SD; an uncle, Delbert (Dulice) Reitmeier of Moorhead, MN; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. Earl was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Dallas Radi; and an infant brother.

Mildred F. Foote- Dargus, 98, of Grand Forks, ND passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013 in Valley Eldercare Center in Grand Forks.
Mildred Frances Moberg was born August 23, 1914 the daughter of Oscar and Augusta (Swenson) Moberg on the family farm near Reinhart Drive in East Grand Forks, MN. She was raised in East Grand Forks and graduated from East Grand Forks High School. Mildred married Delbert Foote on May 31, 1936 in Augustana Lutheran Church in Grand Forks. Following their marriage, they lived in East Grand Forks until moving to Grand Forks in 1944. Mildred was employed with Buttrey’s Clothing, Bray’s Clothing and Mary Elizabeth Clothing. Delbert preceded her in death on September 30, 1974. Mildred married Lawrence Dargus on November 19, 1977 in Augustana Lutheran Church. Lawrence preceded her in death on September 5, 2009. She was a life member of Augustana Lutheran Church, and was the oldest living baptized member of the congregation. Also, she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She enjoyed socializing with family and friends and reminiscing about her Swedish heritage.
