Limits of walleyes continue to be taken with spinner rigs and crawlers in 30 to 32 feet of water in Big Traverse Bay. Anglers jigging and pulling crankbaits are finding schools of active walleyes scattered from the Lighthouse Gap to Rocky Point up to Garden Island.

CO Robert Gorecki (Baudette) was patrolling a lakeside housing area when he spotted what appeared to be marijuana growing on the back side of a garden. CO Gorecki contacted the sheriff’s department and assisted in the search of the property. ... Marijuana plants, seeds, and paraphernalia were seized from the property owner and charges are pending.

Both are middle school teachers, so the bulk of their guiding occurs from late May to September, but the brothers also offer occasional fall trips and winter snowmobile excursions to ice fishing destinations off the beaten path.
