Beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend, James Richard Bushaw, 70, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on February 16, 2013.

Jim was born June 20, 1942, in Grand Forks, North Dakota to James and Bonita (Bellman) Bushaw. He graduated from Oslo High School in 1960 and then worked in construction before beginning a life-long career in farming. On June 16, 1962, he married his high school sweetheart, Maxine Campbell, at St. Timothy's Catholic Church in Manvel, North Dakota.

Leila V. Kinney
Leila, V. Kinney, age 97, passed away on Feb. 13, 2013 at Valley Memorial Eldercare in Grand Forks, ND, where she had resided since June 2006. Leila was born Dec. 15, 1915 in Momence, IL. The daughter of Leo & Leona Kinney, at age 5 she moved with her family to Manvel, ND where she attended grade and high school. She later attended Mayville State Teachers College and then went on to earn her degree at UND. After teaching a few years, she joined the WAVES and served for three years. Later she went back to school to obtain a Master’s Degree in Social Work at UCLA. It was in Los Angeles that she first learned to drive a car! Leila worked for 46 years as a social worker in the counties of Los Angeles, Santa Barbara and Ventura.

During Leila’s working years she was very active in many organizations and volunteer groups. She enjoyed participating in church activities and was a member of Federated Church in Grand Forks. Gardening was one of her favorite hobbies – she loved flowers and had a large rose garden.

William "Bill" Dale Iverson
William “Bill” Dale Iverson, 70, Grand Forks, died Tuesday, February 12, 2013 in St. Ann’s Guest Home.

Bill was born May 7, 1942, in Grand Forks, the son of Franz Iverson and Irene (Haugen) Iverson. He attended school in Grand Forks. In 1960, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, proudly serving his country until his honorable discharge in 1964. He married Kathleen Schill on January 28, 1966 in Wales, North Dakota. They made their home in Grand Forks.
