GF schools haven’t experienced flu surge
Grand Forks Public Schools haven’t seen a surge in students absent because of flu-like illnesses, according to Administrative Assistant Karolyn Roebuck. As of Wednesday, 43 students have missed school because of flu-like symptoms — fever, cough and/or sore throat. Considering that it’s already been a little more than four weeks since the school year began Aug. 26, that number isn’t too far above typical absences, she said.
