Falcon love triangle resembles TV melodrama
Bird watchers are keeping an eye on the bedroom action of Grand Forks’ two peregrine falcons because it proves the birds are together and breeding. This would only be the second time peregrine falcons, a once endangered species, have nested and bred in the area.

Last week, I wrote about “zugunruhe,” the restlessness that birds feel as migration approaches. Of course it’s not only birds that feel restless. “Spring fever” is a well-known phenomenon among humans. For bird lovers, spring fever includes a restless yearning for new species, and this means an impatience for migration to get under way. It is, in fact, beginning. But only so slowly.
