Latin seems firmly entrenched at both Central and Red River high schools. And Latin and the classics are faring well at UND. Interest was statewide when the North Dakota legislature adopted a Latin motto last spring. It is: “Serit ut alteri saeclo prosit.” In other words, “One sows for the benefit of another age.”
